Felt flowers are BIG this fall and, luckily, they are super easy to make.  All you will need is felt, a pen, scissors, and Therm O Web Jumbo Zots Singles!  Add felt flowers to scrapbook pages, wreaths, greeting cards, Thanksgivig table settings, and much, much more.  The version I am about to present is just rolling up a spiral.  There are other ways to create felt flowers but this is by far the easiest and the best if you are new to creating your own embellishments.

1. Draw a circle on your felt.  Try different sizes to get different flower sizes.  Most of my circles tend to be between 2 and 3 inches in diameter.  Draw a spiral inside your circle.  It doesn’t have to be a perfect circle or a perfect spiral.  Imperfections add character and texture to the finished flower!

2. Cut your circle and spiral with scissors.

3. Starting from the outside of the circle going towards the middle, roll your felt.  Keep the edges flush on one side.  The other side will not be flush but that just adds to the flower detail.

4. When you get one wrap from the end, add a Therm O Web Jumbo Zot Single to the flush edge of the felt circle.  Really press the Zot into the fibers to catch all the felt.  Finish the last wrap covering the Zot.

After you get some practice you can forgo the pen step and just start cutting.  Also, instead of a smooth spiral cut try adding in a scallop pattern as you cut your spiral.  This will give your flower more petals as you roll it up.  Use another Therm O Web Jumbo Zot Single to add your finished flower to your paper craft.
